What's New?

 

We have got some VERY exciting new downloads for you this month – we were honoured to welcome two of Britain’s best loved actors into the WTC studio – Timothy West and Prunella Scales - and we couldn’t me more proud of the results! They recorded no less than TWO new productions with us, and we’re thrilled to present the first one this week. On Three written by Stuart Price (The Youth of Old Age, The Grimm of Stottesden Hall)., is a touching, yet funny drama about an elderly couple fulfilling their son's final wishes. With original music by Ethan Lewis Maltby. A second production, Seasons, with the wonderful pair will be released next month.

 

Last month we launched, Dulce Et Decorum Est Pro Patria Mori, a touching glimpse into the experiences of the soliders of the First World War. This series of letters from the front powerfully evokes the horrors and emotions of the men who fought and died on the battlefield, and has been hugely popular in it's first month.

 

It's full steam ahead for our next LIVE recording on Friday 16th April 2010 at The Lost Theatre on Wandsworth Road.  Book Now to see 2010: Space Commander! to save dissapointment on the night!

 

 What's Next?  

 

Congratulations to Stuart for winning the 'Best Book' and 'Most Promising New Musical' for Ed - The Musical at this year's (2009) Edinburgh Festival!

 

Wireless Theatre KIDS is what's next!  If you don't want to send your kids to bed watching TV - why not let them listen to an exciting radio play?  Our KIDS website will launch very soon, and will have plays and poems and comedy for children of all ages. Keep checking here for updates!

 

This month will finally see the recording of The Case of The Tale Told by an Idiot by Bruce Kane and directed by Catriona Ryan, with an exciting new cast.  And we will be recording two brilliant new comedies - Gino Ginelli is Dead by comedian Stephen Hill and a cast of some of the most talented comedy actors around...and Galaxycabs by Peter Davis (from Davis & McQuillan!).  They will positively rock.  As well as ALL that, we are shortly about to start work on WTC's very first series!!  How exciting.....The Strange Case of Springheel'd Jack by Jack Bowman and Robert Valentine, directed by Andrew Swann (this is the very same talented team who bought you Frozen). Stay tuned.  We can barely contain our excitement!
