About Us | Wireless Theatre Company | Audio Plays
The Wireless Theatre Company is designed to nurture and encourage fresh new writers, up and coming acting talent and bring audio theatre to the "iPod generation". All our original downloads are written, cast, directed, produced and edited by our enthusiastic and talented team and although we are based in central London, our writers are from all over the world.
During our first successful two years we have recorded over sixty-five original audio productions, published Wireless Monologues - a book of new speeches for actors and actresses, launched our Wireless Theatre In Education programme, worked with over seventy new actors, ten new directors, four producers and eight new editors. We have also launched Wireless Theatre LIVE performing live recordings in front of a studio audience and www.wirelesstheatrekids.co.uk - coming soon!
Our productions are FREE and easy to download and we pride ourselves on producing interesting, eclectic, challenging and innovative work on a regular basis. We are open to suggestion and ideas and thank everyone for all their contributions this far.
We believe that bringing a theatre company of this nature to the internet is a positive cultural contribution as the nature of audio plays is particularly suited to performance and publications of work by a large cross section of the community; we encourage and support any contributors, and will always strive to provide a forum for new talent.
